Ante Meridiem

About Us

We have been singing together since September of 2012.

Ante Meridiem is a daytime choir for adults of all ages in Edmonton. We sing for enjoyment, wellness, and to learn more about singing well in a supportive group environment under professional leadership. We are a group of about 60 singers. We are open to new members indefinitely!Ante Meridiem is a choral opportunity for adult men and women who want to sing in a supportive and educational environment, and enjoy the musical, social, physical, mental and other benefits of singing in a choir. We perform in concert settings, and also at senior’s residences, hospitals, and community events. We sing all kinds of music drawing on various parts of the choral tradition: sacred and secular, classical, contemporary and folk.

There is no audition for Ante Meridiem. Our only requirements are: a willingness to learn more about singing and music and an interest in preparing music for performance in a supportive environment, under professional direction.

Weekly Rehearsals

Ante Meridiem meets each Wednesday morning from 10 AM to noon.

Rehearsals typically include a vocal and (gentle) physical warm-up, some group vocal technique work, rehearsal of several pieces of music with our director and accompanist, and social time over coffee and goodies.

Our rehearsal facility is Unitarian Church of Edmonton, at 10804 119 St. Their large, well-lit and flexible space allows us to have a great rehearsal experience!

Our 2019 rehearsals will resume on January 9th, 2019.
